how many major aircraft accidents has Qantas Airways Limited had?

I always fly Qantas around australia, so i wonder how many major crashes they have had.

QANTAS has never had a fatal jet airliner crash.



Between 1927 and 1951 they had 11 but they were in much less advanced aircraft - 5 of the 11 (including 1 shot down by the Japs) were during the war when QANTAS operated on behalf of the military.



I always fly QANTAS and feel very safe on their aircraft.

None so far but they've had a few close calls in recent years...still have the best safety record in the industry .

None where someone has died. They are one of the safest airlines in the world. Just a pity their planes have so many mechanical problems.
