Forget it.

If you completed your IT degree with good results, you might have had a chance of getting a permanent visa 5 or 6 years from now but unless you get your act together and meet the academic and attendance requirements of your course, your Student visa will be cancelled and you'll have to leave Australia.

Forget about changing your course to something 'easier'. A change of course sends a huge signal to DIBP that you are not a 'Genuine Temporary Entrant' and getting another Student visa will probably be impossible. In any case, any 'easier' occupation will only be on the CSOL and the path to PR is much harder and much longer for that than it is for occupations on the SOL (where most IT occupations are to be found).

Jay, it is not as easy as showing up to Australian Immigration, and applying for Landed Residents Status. Your studies do not meet Australian skills requirements.

Have you any idea how many unemployed IT professionals there are, or had to secure work in other areas than IT.

Your agreement as per your students visa, is that after you graduate you return back to the country you came from or on forward elsewhere. You can not use a students visa to get in the back door.

You can't. You are here as a student and must return after you finish your course. If you are failing your degree e uni has to notify immigration and your visa will be cancelled and you will have to go home early. Sorry but there is no quick path to PR if you are here as a student...there is a small chance of getting PR after your degree IF you get work experience in your area and IF THEN your profession if on the migration list.....lots of IFs and since the list changes vey year and since Australian IT grads are no longer finding work the chances of IT anything being on the migration list is slim.

No chance at all. Unless you show satisfactory progress with your course, that means doing and passing all the assignments and passing all exams, your visa will be terminated and you will be sent home. It is possible for you to gain employment when you complete your course but the probability is that you won't. You will have to do what all other students do and go home when your studies are finished.

well jay it is no surprise you are suffering in your studies and nothing to do with the stress of working more to do with the fact you can not write or spell as indicated by your question

phone your mother tell her to prepare your favorite dinner

you will be there soon

If you are failing your course, then I'd start packing, because immigration will be on your doorstep any tick of the clock to deport you.

You knew what the deal was when you came here. You don't get to cry now. And if you're failing to meet the conditions of your visa, what on earth would make you think we'd give you PR?
