I am working on a Travel Brochure in class and it has to be on some kind of attraction on Australia. I wanted to do it on something interesting. I think that it's really cool because it's pink. Is it safe to swim in the lake? Can anyone go there? Thank you!

Lake Hillier is situated on Middle Island in the Recherche Archipelago, off the coast of Western Australia. Landing on Middle Isand is prohibited as it is a nature reserve, so no one can visit the island. The only way to see the lake is by takng a plane ride over the island.

It is not safe to swim in the lake. The salts that make it pink make the water unsuitable for swimming. You can go there but to get there you will need to go to to Esperance in WA. The lake is on one of the islands in the Recherche Archipelago and you will need to go by boat or fly to see the lake. Many of the islands are nature reserves with restricted access but you can take a tour to the lake from Esperance.
