Tea.
Go to a cafe or restaurant today & order a pot of tea & you get a pot alright, but with a tea bag in it! Don't they know how to make a proper cup of tea? It's enough to make an old sheila whinge.

Oh dear, I'm even worse in the "blindly following lead set by US" stakes. It's pepsi for me, I'm afraid.
Yes, I know how bad it is for me.
Although, I do love a milk arrowroot dunked in tea occasionally.

Always start & end my day with at least one cup of tea....brewed in a pot with tea leafs , not those wretched tea bag thingies !
Also have a coffee a day , preferably a real one ....not that instant substitute !
Intersperse this with plenty of water ....

I enjoy my coffee.
I don't or can't drink tea because when I was a child, my grandmother forced me to drink Chamomile tea when I was sick. The taste and smell of any type of tea just makes me ill. I really wish I could enjoy a cup of tea but oh well.

Coffee at home.
Billy tea when camping.
I don't believe it has anything to do with following the USA, it has more to do with the European immigrants who came here after WW2 and introduced us to real coffee and many other things.
In general the Americans don't have coffee worth drinking.
