What are you doing Josh, I thought you were saving for a holiday overseas?

Unless you own land or know someone that does, Nimbin is a rip off, don't get stuck in Nimbin, there is nothing wrong with spending your time chasing your next bong, but really, life has so much more richer experiences to offer.

Why would anyone want to go to Nimbin for a week? You can see all Nimbin has to offer - and buy illegal substances - in an hour. Nimbin might have once been the centre of alternative lifestyles but it is no longer. These days it is just tacky and a bit sad. Nimbin tackiness has spread to Byron Bay but Byron still stands as a stunningly beautiful place even without the beards and dreadlocks (and the men are worse) and it would be a much better place for a week than Nimbin. Stay in Byron and take a bus trip to Nimbin.

The train to Byron Bay will cost $80.70 economy class one-way. The train goes to Casino and a bus takes you from there to Byron. There are two trains a day, one goes overnight, the other during the day. Jetstar from Sydney to Byron Bay (fly to Ballina bus to Byron) will cost from $49 to $289 depending on what's available. You would need to look at the Jetstar web site. Same with Virgin.

In Sydney you can take pleasure in the normal beauty. From unspoilt beaches to community gardens and, of course, the shining harbour, Sydney is really a city worth visited and with hotelbye you could have the chance to do that. The Sydney Harbour Bridge or "Coathanger," since the locals call it is among the places you should not skip in your trip here. This place was the city's best-known landmark just before structure of the Opera House. Supported by massive double piers at each end, it absolutely was built in 1932 and stays the world's greatest metal arc connection, linking the harbour's north and south shores in one contour growing 134 metros above the water. Along their period run two railway lines and ten counters for road traffic, the path of which may be varied according to traffic flow. Also, to learn concerning the intriguing record of the bridge's structure you can go to the memorial in the south-eastern pier.

I could think of better places to spend a week. Try flying to Lismore or Byron and then catch a taxi up the hill. It will only set you back about $400 return just for the taxi itself.

What happened to the Italian trip? Find cheap accommodation & spend wisely & it will cost you less than $1000 IMO.
