Australia is a lovely country, I'm Australian. It depends on where you are coming from though!

I live in Melbourne and we have good weather. It can get hot in Summer but it is up and down so it is not consistently hot, varies between (25 - 35 C) in Summer. And Winter can be between (10 - 20 C) so it definitely does vary!

Places like Perth and Adelaide are much hotter, it still gets cold in winter but the warmer weather is far more consistent. This summer Adelaide had a few weeks at a time where it was almost 40C every day. Very hot, especially if you are not used to it.

Also northern Australia is hot too. Queensland, Northern Territory.

If you are looking for a cooler climate, Melbourne or Hobart is the best bet. Or outside of these capital areas.

Again as I said it really does depend on where you are coming from and what you are used to though. You might think these temperatures are quite reasonable.

Kind regards

Mandy

Well for me, (been in australia my whole life), it's not like everyday you're melting, sometimes theres an occasional 40+ day, but only in Summer. Sometimes we have batches of 40 days. But nice weather now for me (start of Autunm, March) is about 30-35.

But there are places in Australia that average days about 20. Others 40. There is a massive climate difference in oz. Some places even snow! Canberra does, but it's like on the news, it's not like okay lets go on a holiday for winter cause it'll be snowing. Rare thing!

But do consider moving over here. (Most) people are very welcoming of new people, especially from other countries. It's a beautiful climate with beautiful beaches and environments.

The weather in sydney, melbourne, perth, brisbane and adeilade should be bearable unless you come from a really cold country. It's the northern Australia that is too hot.

You look a lot alike to be perfectly honest... Well it's kind of like the Tom Cruz thing.. he always goes for the girls who are taller then him.. Anyway, I do think you are a smidge prettier. I know I'm not a guy so I'm not very helpful.. but I thought I would answer anyway! I wouldn't worry too much anyway.. it's always best when you act like you don't care if she is hot or not.. or better yet.. don't care. It will drive your boyfriend nuts and he will do anything to keep your attention : ) It also makes you the prettier one...and you won't drive your boyfriend away with all your jealousy.

We have had an unusually hot summer. I live in the sub-tropics and the heat is strong and humid. We need a/c's and fans on all day and night in summer. With Autumn upon us now, it's been raining continuously for weeks but the weather is cooling down. Drinking water is what everyone should be doing as it hydrates and flushes out the system.

Yes Australia is unbearably hot! You must lock yourself away in a/c all day otherwise if you go outside your feet melt to footpath! So do everyone a favour and stay where you are!

It takes a new comer about 3 months to acclimatise . Yes we can have extremely hot weather. There are plenty of ways to keep cool Aircons always in cars shopping centres and many homes. Plenty of swimming pools and beaches. It is only in the Summer months and certainly not every day. I have lived in NZ and England I would far rather have Australias weather. The evenings are magic in the Summer.

SYDNEY: Can get very hot days, especially if you're living in the western suburbs. You'll have around, on average, 5-8 days over 40C during the summer. Thankfully, we are saved by southerly busters in the afternoon that bring rain, cool winds and thunder. Even though the summers can get awfully dry, they can also be very rainy and humid/sticky (in fact, most of our rain falls in summer). Winters are cool to mild. Rarely the maximum (daytime) temps fall to 15C (maybe once to three times in the winter). The temps are always around 17-21 in the winter. Winter is also very sunny and dry.

PERTH: Even hotter than Sydney. This city has the classical Mediterranean climate with hot, dry summers and cool, wet winters. Summers have a lot of days with the temp being around 35-40C. Rainfall is almost unknown in summer. Winters are also slightly warmer than Sydney's. Temps are usually around 19-23. Though, they have some rainy days.

ADELAIDE: Australia's driest capital city. Like Perth, this has a Mediterranean climate, but it's much drier. Adelaide also has a lot of days over 35C and they reach 40C. Winters, however, are cooler than Sydney's. The temp mostly averages at 14-17 degrees. Winters can be a little wet, too.

MELBOURNE: This city has the strangest climate in Australia, if not the world. One day it could be scorching hot and the next freezing cold. It could be also raining in one hour and in the next it could be sunny. Summers can get extremely hot, yet they can also have days with a cold spell. Weird climate! Winters are cold and a little wet. You can have days around 12C, but they usually linger around 14-16.

BRISBANE: Subtropical and mostly humid. Summers are always warm (not hot, really) with some cloudy days. The temp during the summer is around 30-34C. It never gets any lower or higher than that range. Winters are mostly around 21-25 (quite mild). Though you may have some days with the temp around 18-21. Brisbane also has a lot of rainy days, since it's subtropical.

Sydney is a typical seaside climate, warm to hot in summer, cool to cold in winter.Very humid at times as coastal cities tend to be.Despite being further south Melbourne can be very hot in summer & very cold in winter.Adelaide is a hot dry climate & Brisbane is a semi tropical climate. But our country is no hotter in these areas then your own.The only really extreme temperatures are in the central areas like Alice Springs & the deserts.~~~
