I went to Alice springs last week and they where in big groups yelling at white people then, when I walked past two women they spat at me and laughed and then when I tried to help another one with their credit card they ignored me :(

I live in Alice Springs. Unfortunately it is a bad place to be introduced to Aboriginals. The nicer ones live out bush with their tribes (don't trespass). They are mean for a few reasons:

- They have little to no education. They each get 40+k per year from the government, many of them get houses and cars that are paid for by the government. So even with all the education and employment opportunities especially for them, their mentality is "I already get what I need, so why should I work?". They are lazy and think they are entitled to everything,

- They are always drunk or high on drugs (stuff that'll make you violent) - That's what 90% of them spend their government benefits on.

- They come from abusive, drug-addicted families. Their parents were poorly educated, and they are constantly high on drugs, so they are neglectful, angry, and violent. They are poorly disciplined and they grow up by that example. So they see no issue with assault, vandalism, or just being a prick.

Apparently because our ancestors 200 odd years ago 'stole their country' they think its OK to be like this and they then they wonder why no one has any respect for them. Sure their may be some OK ones but never have I come across one half decent aboriginal that has been OK and wouldn't steal your last dollar off you.

i did not like alice spings ..two aboriginals were yelling out across the street to each other and and i can tell ya it was sort of scary cause we are elderly and they knew id say that they was scaring us.....we were not sure if we was gonna be robbed by their conduct as we walk pastthe group and they barely moved out of our way ..but nothing happened :)

and yet in Katherine an aboriginal was real nice and friendly to us ..so all are not ,mean.....

some people are just mean, their ethnicity doesn't have much to do with it.
