That's like asking the same question about the US. Given the sheer size of Australia, temperatures can vary greatly. Victoria, the southernmost state on the mainland, gets those temperatures from about December through into March, but Cairns, which is in far north Queensland, gets those sort of temperatures for most of the year.



Check out the Bureau of Meteorology's climate maps for some more information. Just remember that 80F = 27C, 90F = 32C and 100F = 38C

I'm not sure how hot upper 80s to 90s is cos in this part of the world we use degrees celcius. But I assume that you mean warm weather, not too hot.



It all depends upon where in E Aust you want to go. Up north, I'd say May - Oct would be ok (autumn - early spring), Gold Coast/Sunshine Coast mid March-Oct would be ok, although winter (july-august) may be colder.



Remember, our seasons are the complete opposite to those in the Northern Hemisphere. So winter is July-Aug, summer is Dec-Jan.
