Maybe Spain, France, Italy, Greece or maybe a cruise ship from England around through the Gibraltar Strait and on into the Mediterranean Ocean. Or even hire a cabin yacht large enough for all of us. Has any Aussies toured the areas as we wish to do? What sort of costs are involved, should we provide our own meals or is it cheaper to eat out? So much to organise, if we go on a cruise boat are there regular port stops or are we going to on the boat 24/7? If you have a piccy or two of your cruise cabin or a fav camp ground please post it here. We haven't done any OS travel but southern Europe is the best for all of us. NO KIDS ! They have all flown the nest so bring it on!

wow... you are not going to like my answer but here goes

six people together for up to six months spells tears tantrums disasters and ends of friendships

personally I could not think of anything worse add to that the thought of being all confined in vans yachts or what ever no no no thanks

a compromise suggestion... go all together on a cruise there are some fabulous options all around europe all the way down to spain and morocco and into the mediteranean which by the way is not an ocean it is a sea... there are many options for prices and when you are on a cruise yes there are days when you get off the ship and do shore excursions

the reason I make this suggestion on a ship there will be places spaces and times when you can all gang up and hang out and other times you can seek sanctuary alone

cruises have another big advantage they are all inclusive so you know what you are up for and usually the only thing not included is your booze

another important consideration is the time of year... there is nothing worse than tripping through europe in the peak season prices are high people are everywhere queues are long it is much more relaxing to go in the off season

well I hope my suggestions give you food for thought
