How would a female go at getting an unskilled mining job in NSW?

I'd be willing to travel interstate if it were all paid by the emloyer.

Most websites as you for a $200 or so fee for them too find you a job.

There is no such thing. At the very least you will need a heavy vehicle license which costs about 1K to train for and get. Only qualified engineers are eligible for having their travel expenses covered for moving to the location. Most jobs are in the country (Cobar, Broken Hill etc) so you will need some $$$ to pay for accommodation in a hotel until you can find a rental property.

Mining companies have people beating down their doors to find a job..... They ain't going to pay an unskilled female (or male for that matter) to relocate to their area. My partner worked in mines (although a while ago) and the Kimberley diamond mines have a very strict equal opportunity policy. Apparently a lot of female uni students drove the trucks that went up and down the pit. NSW itself doesn't have many mines that are particularly "remote"... they usually have a huge resource for staffing locally.

Not good at all mate, they need skilled workers, the mines have heaps of people waiting for jobs as the money is so good.
