black pants, white shirt, ive been interviewed by woolworths before (declined the job to little pay) and this is your best bet. wear black shoes to, infact black and white works for most interviews.

You're correct.
Clean, well ironed long sleeved shirt and slacks would be appropriate.
I'd even think about a tie, too.
Don't forget to clean your shoes.
Neat clean hair, no over-powering cologne and a big smile.
How many of the jeans wearing people who were with your mate were actually offered a position?
Employers don't like jeans. I know, I was one.
Good luck.

Absolutely do not wear jeans or a tshirt ever for a job assessment or interview . Shirt and neat trousers / slacks is fine. Clean shoes and tidy appearance.

I would suggest a button up dress shirt and a pair of nice pants.
Personally, I would wear a shirt and tie...but that is just me.
Make sure that whatever you choose, that the colors are not too bright - solids work very well at meetings.

Don't wear large yellow framed sunglasses and fur edged hooded jacket without a shirt.
