There are various routes and various airlines. The longest you will be in the air on one leg of the journey is about 12 hours although the flying time will be about 22 hours. All flights stop somewhere and that depends on your airline how long the stop is . Say you stop at Singapore the stop could be 3 hours and you can dis embark for some of that time . Or if you choose you may like a stop over somewhere for a night at no extra cost apart from your accomodation.

It's hard to give you an exact duration, but you should expect to be travelling for around 19-24 hours depending on where you're travelling to. A little less if you only have one stopover and a little more if you have a few connecting flights or stopovers.



Australia is a Continent, so the travel time can vary by about 4 hours. London to Melbourne for example is 22.5 hours. Sydney would be maybe half an hour less, Brisbane another half an hour.

Perth is less than 19 hours.



The other thing to consider is connecting flights within Australia. To get to Alice springs for example would require you to travel to a Capital city and then take a flight from there.
