I was sitting in class and saw this picture of Australia but do you think that this represents the australian people? I just want to know because i know that Australia is multicultural and i want to know if you agree with this picture?
Yeah, that looks like a pretty typical bunch of Aussies that I encounter.

Yes I do ! What deniers fail to accept is that europeans , although white skinned , are still from different cultures & ethnic backgrounds to the traditional early settlers .
Lets face it ...Australia is a melting pot of humanity that has to accept & get along with each other for the national good .If we're at all smart we'll go further than that & embrace each other's differences .

There's nothing to agree or disagree about it, it's the truth - there are migrants in Australia from different backgrounds. That's the reality.
This is like asking, "do you agree that Australia is 40% desert?".

Nope, I don't agree with that picture.
Of course we do have people from all those countries living in Australia, however there are still more of the traditional 'white' people in Australia, than people of other backgrounds.

No it doesn't, reality is completely different.

Come to the Footscray area of Melbourne - it looks just like that. 40% of the population here was born overseas, representing over 80 language groups from over 135 different countries of birth.
But I recognise that not all parts of Australia have that wide a representation of people from different parts of the world.

It is not supposed to be a fair representation of Australia but a representation of the large number of countries from which Australians have migrated. You would not expect to see a group like that in any one spot but you would certainly meet people represented by that group almost anywhere in Australia. Australia is multicultural and has migrants from just about every country in the world.
