That's too broad of a question. You need to be more specific in regards to which state in the US and which city in Australia. i.e time in New York vs. Sydney

Remember that it's changing all the time. Since the two continents are in differenct hemisphers the difference is (normally) offset by two hours each time the two go into or emerge from daylight savings time. (one 'springs' forward as the other 'falls' back)
For example during part of the year the time difference between New York and Sydney is 16 hours, and the rest it's 14 hours (or 8 and 10 hours, depending on which direction you move around the globe).

From what I understand, there is about a 10 hour difference in time. For instance, From Kyogle Australia to my Town in Washington State there is about a 10 hour difference. The Archer:

type in "local time sydney" into yahoo search or obviously the city in australia you are interested in - and will give you the local time so you can compare to your own time
