Here are some resources I know about for getting work visas for AU: http://www.immi.gov.au/general/expos/index.htm

will show you a list of informational seminars given by the Au Government to attract new workers.

You can post your skills on a skills matching database here http://www.immi.gov.au/skills/skills-opps.htm

Former Australian Consulate officer started a consulting firm: http://www.mckayandmeyer.com

The Australian Govt is eager to have skilled labor migrate to Australia and have opened a Skilled Migration Program. They are especially lookinng for people will skills in healthcare, building/technical trades, engineering/mechanical and accounting. Here's that information: http://www.careersdownunder.com

Best of luck!

As far as I can see, there are no reciprocal arrangements for working holidays between Australia and the US. This may be due to America's policy on working holidays and the fact that (because of the attractiveness of The States) you have sooo many people trying to come into the country.

But good luck with the work visa.
