All the information you need is on the NZ Immigration website. However, obtaining a resident permit is not cheap. However, if you have the right qualifications and can hook up with an employer who really needs you, then that employer will sometimes cover most if not all of the costs in getting you to New Zealand. The web site has an number of links that will direct you to employment opportunities/information regarding your particular field of expertise.
